I The Game Awards sono considerati i “premi Oscar dei videogiochi” e per questo la premiazione è sempre molto attesa. Per i The Game Awards 2021, i responsabili dell’evento hanno rilasciato la lista completa delle nomination dei giochi che si contenderanno i premi.

Tutti questi giochi hanno un seguito molto elevato ma purtroppo non sono stati in grado di arrivare fino alla categoria di “Miglior gioco dell’anno”. Nonostante ciò, gli sviluppatori di questi giochi sono probabilmente quelli che stanno guadagnando maggiormente in termini economici, grazie alle numerose micro transazioni presenti (ognuno dei giochi è disponibile in maniera gratuita sul Play Store).
