Dopo la notizia del record dei 10 milioni di Galaxy S venduti (ovviamente parlando dell’intera famiglia Galaxy S) ecco che arrivano altre cifre riguardanti Samsung.
Queste cifre possono sicuramente essere da supporto nel giustificare la scelta di Google nel scegliere proprio “Sammy” per la produzione dell’ultimo Google Phone uscito; infatti si è calcolato nell’appena concluso 2010 la casa coreana conta una quota del 34% delle totali spedizioni di terminali Android.
In poche parole 1/3 dei device Android spediti sono marchiati Samsung.
Una cifra veramente da capogiro che dimostra che il produttore “sa fare ottimi telefoni”.
Sicuramente noi possessori di SGS potremmo avere qualcosa da ridire per quanto riguarda il lato software, che vede il problema risolto unicamente (se togliamo i lagfix) con l’update a Froyo 2.2.1, che però è disponibile unicamente in UK.
In ogni caso, viste le cifre scritte nero su bianco, il 2010 è stato – per quanto riguarda il mondo Android – l’anno di Samsung, che si appresta a provare a ripetersi anche in questo 2011 con il successore del Galaxy S che vedremo al MWC di febbraio.
Now let’s look at the total Android handset sales during this October- December quarter. During most of the quarter Google was telling us that they are activating a little over 200 000 Android handsets a day. Then, on Dec. 9th it grew to 300 000. Not sure when exactly that jump in activations happened, or how it grew. But to account for this growth, I’ll spread it through the whole quarter and assume that Google was activating 250 000 Android devices a day during all Q4. That means that 23 million of Android handsets were activated during October –December quarter.
