Nonostante non sia stato annunciato al MWC 2015 di Barcellona, il Sony Xperia Z4 rimane sulla bocca di molti utenti, i quali si scambiano opinioni sul suo possibile design, sul suo possibile hardware ma soprattutto su quando arriverà sul mercato. A riguardo si è espresso Tim Harrison, Sony Mobile’s Vice President of Global Communications & PR, il quale ha rilasciato alcune dichiarazioni.
Secondo quanto dichiarato dal signor Harrison, in Sony si è nuovamente modificata la politica riguardante i top di gamma, eliminando l’arrivo di una nuova generazione ogni 6 mesi e riportandola ad un anno. Questo ci suggerisce che il Sony Xperia Z4 non arriverà sul mercato prima del mese di Settembre (mese in cui è stato presentato Xperia Z3).
Riguardo Xperia Z3, il signor Harrison si è mostrato molto soddisfatto del grado di successo che sta avendo (insieme a Xperia Z3 Compact).
Tornando a parlare del nuovo top di gamma, anche Pierre Perron, Vice President for Western Europe, ha dichiarato qualcosa in merito:
The innovation is not so much about launching and announcing a flagship with more and more megapixels and so on, it’s about how can you make consumers’ lives more innovative and more relevant as we go forward. […] We will continue to launch beautiful hardware but it’s not the only thing anymore. The story is beyond that. It’s whether you are expanding consumer experiences beyond a technology standpoint, making sure these experiences are available to as many consumers as soon as possible, even to those who bought products six months ago.
