Dopo il rilascio di 10 versioni alpha e della Slim6 Stable 1.0, il team Slimroms ha avviato quello della Slim6 Weekly 1.17, che porta Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow su diversi dispositivi non più supportati ufficialmente dalle case produttrici. Ma oltre alla Slim6 Weekly, è stata rilasciata anche la quarta versione Alpha della Slim7, basata su Android 7.1 Nougat.
Per quanto riguarda la Slim6 ormai ci sono solo piccoli miglioramenti e bugfix, mentre nel caso della Slim7 questa settimana ci sono diverse novità tecniche e il supporto ad un nuovo dispositivo, il Nexus 6 (nome in codice shamu).
